Notice the title. I think it was a day or two after Christmas this year that we put the tree out for the garbage men to pick up on trash day. Well for some reason they didn't take it. And we got loads of snow and before we knew it the darned tree was frozen to the ground in our front yard. Week after week after week that thing has stayed out there. OMG I hated it! I was out there a few times trying to chissel it out. lol. Well finally this morning I suceeeded -- thanks to warmer temps, a new shovel and the help of our neighbor. I'm sure he was more than happy to help. Clint was on his way out to help, but didn't quite get there in time. But he did see me fall once while trying to crank it out of the snow. And he told me that then and there was when he knew he really loved me. lol So now we can celebrate Easter without a Christmas tree in our yard!!
Kelly was singing in the choir at the all school mass this morning, and asked if I would like to come. In my head I'm thinking about how I REALLY wanted to get a good long run in this morning. But how could I say No? So I showered and went to church. I was glad I went. After mass a group of kids did a passion play and WOW it really moved me to tears! I guess I haven't really felt like I've been in the Lenten spirit this year, but for some reason this really hit me.
After church I went to Jewell for some groceries. Colin's b-day is next Wed., during spring break. So he gets to celebrate his b-day at school tomorrow. Every year since K4 he has requested confetti cupcakes with white frosting and green gummy frog candies on top. And that is what he wants again this year. The cupcakes are in the oven right now. Of course one box makes 24 cupcakes. Well there are 25 kids in his class plus the teacher, and then all the other teachers/office people they take their treat to. So I have to do two boxes.
Boy am I rambling on! My plan is to treadmill later this afternoon. I only had 50 minutes to get my workout in before taking Kelly to piano lessons. I got on the treadmill and ran 5.2 miles.
b-fast: coffee (1); krispy kreme sour cream donut (I bought this at Jewell and shoved it in my mouth before I was out of the parking lot). UGH came home and looking at Dotti's website and it was freaking 8.5 points!!! Oh well, it was good.
lunch: soup (4) light tostitos (2)
