Bally's Tuesday

I went to the gym again this morning. I'm going to try to mix things up a bit so I don't get bored with the same routine. I did 15 minutes on the elliptical, with a 3 minute cool down (1.70 miles; 246 cals; level 7; forward 5 min, then reverse 2 min). Then I did about 15 minutes of leg weights. And then to the treadmill for 30 minutes and a 5 minute cool down (3.13 miles, 386 calories). Ok my goal was to walk on it because I have plantar facitis (sp?) in my right heel. It flares up whenever I run. I get on the treadmill and found myself setting it to 6.0 mph. Huh? I'm supposed to walk. For some reason when I'm at the gym my competitive side kicks in. I'm on a treadmill in between two guys and they are running. I end up kicking it up a notch every 2 minutes and before I know it I've done a 9 minute mile. I then put it down to walking (4.3) for 1/4 mile and then running 1/4 mile for the rest of the workout. My heel feels fine right now, but I know I will be paying for it in a few hours.

I've drank 3 or 4 bottles (1/2 litres) of water. Gotta go get Emma and Colleen, and head to Target.

Well done on the workout, I am going to join a gym this week as well - I stopped going to my last one as it was so far away - I really miss going though. Was just surfing and stumbled across your blog.
