The 5th of January

Its January 5th and I have 4 workouts in so far. Feels great to say that. We have a couple of inches of snow on the ground and expecting quite a bit more later today. I went to Bally's again. I did 15 minutes on the bike to warm up (94 calories; 5.? miles); arm weights; and 30 minutes plus a 5 minute cool down on the Lifefitness 9500 eliptical (level 6/7, hill program, forward 5, reverse 2, 502 calories, 3.50 miles). I need to research heart rates and what is a good goal for me. I really have never taken the time to figure it out. I know that is lame. When I do the elliptical, my HR is in the 150's range. I am in the zone. How much is too much though? When I cooled down today I got it down to 106. (this is all according to the machine with the hand sensors). Gotta get showered and go pick up the girls. Also need to get out and shovel the driveway before the next batch of snow comes. Colin has an appointment at Children's today at 3:50. I'm thinking I should call and cancel. Do we really want to drive across town at that time of day during a snow storm? I think not. It is just a follow-up with the urologist. It can wait. I'm calling to cancel. I watched the Biggest Loser last night -- I was crying . Geeze I cry at everything. I can't wait to see next week's show to see how they did on their own for 3 months.

Food log for today: B-fast: english muffin with a dab of peanut butter on both halves and a banana sliced on top. Coffee w/creamer. Lunch: McDonald's cheeseburger, 2 of Emma's chicken nuggests; 1 of her apple slices. Diet Pepsi. Snack: snack size bag of microwave popcorn; diet pepsi. Dinner: spaghetti, slice of garlic bread, romaine lettuce salad w/Light Done Right dressing; H20.
