This morning was my last session with the personal trainer. In November at our school dinner dance, I had bid on and "won" 3 sessions with a personal trainer; a body fat testing (BODPOD); 3 exercises classes, and a 1 hour full body massage. What a great package! The PT is awesome. She also happens to be a school mom friend of mine. I'd love to keep going to her, but it is just so expensive to continue. I'm thinking of maybe just trying to get there at least once a month. It is $40 for an hour!! OUCH. Not exactly in my budget right now. But she totally understands that and has been so good with showing me proper techniques and how to take the skills I've learned there and do them at Bally's. I think my favorite thing I learned from Margaret was how to do squats with a medicine ball and with a weight bar on my shoulders. I actually LOVE doing squats now. lol And she also taught me some ab work that I can do on an exercise ball. On my way out there was a sign up sheet for those interested in doing the Danskin Sprint Tri this July. I put my name on the list. I'm not for sure yet I will do it, but I'm thinking that would be a great goal to strive for. I did a tri in 1999 and really loved training for and competing in it. I would love to do it again.
We got slammed with a ton of snow over night. The kids still had school. I don't think they EVER call a snow day around here. Our morning was pretty hectic. I didn't end up eating b-fast. I just got home from working out and picking up Emma. Stopped by Starbuck's and got a grande skim latte. Time to go eat some lunch!
food log: b-fast: nothing; Starbuck's skim late; lunch: Lean Cuisine Sweet & Sour Chicken (290 cals; 2.5 g fat); diet pepsi w/lemon; Dinner: can of Campbell Mexican Chicken soup; grilled cheese sandwich. Snack: raspberry sherbert; mini bag of microwave popcorn; 5 chocolate carmel hershey kisses.
Today was very crazy. Not a lot of time to relax. Kelly has a major project due for school -- after school we had to tape her and her friend Paige doing a cooking show. I'm so glad they got it done and can cross it off her list of things to do.
