Happy 2005

Here I am again, overweight and out of shape! Resolving to lose this weight AGAIN and get in shape AGAIN. What makes this year any different? I think having more time will make a difference. No more weekly hospital runs with Colin. No kids at home in the mornings. Emma is in school every morning 8:10-11:05. no more excuses!! I am going to log my exercise and journal here. Yesterday I was all showered and went to church. My plan was to get up early and work out. Instead I splept until the last possible moment, then got ready for church. No workout. However, when I got home from church I made myself get my big butt out the door. It was a nice day. I went and did my 3.4 mile route through Kletszch park. listening to ABBA on Colin's CD player. I still need to get my MP3 player set up. I've had it for over a year and haven't used it yet. My weight on the scale yesterday was 174.5. UGH!!! No more. I'm once again rereading Make the Connection. I know it works -- I'm doing the 10 steps again. This morning the kids returned to school. I dropped them off and headed to Bally's. I did 15 minutes on the recumbant bike (5.5 miles); 15 minutes of arm weights; then 35 minutes on the elliptical (3.41 miles; 494 calories) level 7, hill program, forward 5 minutes; reverse 2 minutes. It was an awesome workout. I also drank 4 bottles of water while at the gym. Then another on the way home. I feel great!!
