Tues.
We have a full day planned here today, so I got up earlier and got on the treadmill first thing.  I did a 4.1 mile power walk with incline.  Kelly has an orthodontist appointment this morning.  This afternoon we are meeting my sister and two nephews at the pool in Brookfield.  And tonight I have an appt at the blood center to give blood.  I got a call from Children's Hospital yesterday (Margaret, Colin's nurse practitioner).  The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is looking for someone to go to Madison and speak in front of Congress about cord blood donations.  She wanted to know if I am interested in doing that.  ME -- the biggest chicken when it comes to public speaking?!?!  She didn't have any of the details.  I told her she could give them my name.  They will call me with details.  I'm feeling like this is a calling for me to do something with our experience over the past 8 years.  I'm petrified at the thought, but do want to make the public aware of the fact that cord blood can save lives.  Will journal when I know more.
