of summer vacation. We are still getting along!! Took Colin to basketball camp again this morning (I really wish this camp lasted ALL SUMMER LONG -- it is only for 4 days). Oh well. I came home and got on the treadmill. Did Barb's workout suggestion: power walked 4 minutes with an incline; then put the speed up to 8.6 mph and sprinted for 30 seconds, then down to 6.0 for a 30 sec. jog; then back to 4.3 to walk 4 minutes, etc., etc. I did that for 40 minutes; then a 5 minute cool down. I ended up with 3.54 miles; 728 feet climbed and 540 cals. burned. I also did 100 situps on the exercise ball; and 50 wall pushups.
We picked Colin up from camp then headed south towards Kenosha to the Jelly Belly factory. I figured that would eat up a good part of our day. We had a good time and enjoyed lots of Jelly Belly samples and picked up a few goodies to bring home.
My legs are hurting from this morning's workout. I'm sure the sprinting is the reason. I haven't hit those speeds in a LONG time. Even though it was only in 30 second spurts, it felt great :)
